Sainte-Catherine: More than 300 Canada geese were present this morning at the Recre-O-Parc and one individual caught my attention.

Quite intriguing ...!  Similar in all respects to a standard size goose, it was smaller, but not consistent with the Cackling Goose that has some distinct characters, with its little round head and short bill.

After consultation, it could be a Canada Goose subspecies '' parvipes", nicknamed Lesser Canada Goose by David Sibley.
