Montréal, Mount Royal Park/Mount Royal Cemetery this evening from 5 to 7:30 pm- Very windy and overcast initially but the sun came out later and bird activity improved- 33 species.

Montréal, île de la Visitation: I went for a evening walk to see what was around. Scarlet Tanager, Veery, Swainson's Thrush, Nashville warbler, Northren Parula, Yellow warbler, Magnolia warbler, American redstart (Tangara écarlate, grive fauve, Grive à dos olive, paruline à Paruline à joues grise, Paruline à collier, Paruline à tête cendrée, paruline flamboyante). Then the nice surprise, a adult White-eyed Vireo (Ensuite, la belle surprise, un adulte Viréo aux yeux blancsonly a few feet from me. I observed him and his friends near the Bistro des Moulin. I hope he decides to stay a couple more days, it's the first record of this species in this park. - Joël Coutu

Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Morgan Arboretum: Had about a half an hour birding in the Arbo this morning. Lots of warblers: Cape May, Bay-breasted, Tennessee, Nashville, Northern Parula, Black-throated Green, Yellow-rumped (still!), Magnolia, Common Yellowthroat, Bobolink.
