Sightings for Sunday May 22nd

Godmanchester: Montée Smellie 1 Partridge near the railway crossing
Montée Biggar: hybrid type  "Brewster" Warbler (1st generation! I have not seen that of the second generation reported by other observers). Eastern towhee and Field Sparrow

Also, 3 Golden-winged Warblers (including 1 female with transporting nesting material) and 1 Grasshopper Sparrow (just arrived!) and an impressive total of 51 Bobolink.Hinchinbrooke: Chemin Boydl Settlement, 1 Upland Sandpiper (just before the junction with Montée Rockburn)

Hinchinbrooke: Chemin Gowan: 1 Yellow-throated Vireo 100m west of the small bridge
Montée Massey: 3 Pine Warblers various locations including the southern end Montée Massey
1 Yellow-billed Cuckoo (adult calling, found during an audit of a former site of Cerulean Warbler, on private land accessible from chemin Gowan.. Please note that authorization of the owner is required to access the site. You could hear the Cuckoo on Gowan Road from the south side of it at 0.7 km from the intersection with Highway 202.

Huntingdon: 1 Rough-winged Swallow (downstream of the Huntingdon bridge on the Châteauguay river , not seen here for ages).

Godmanchester: 1 Perdrix grise (près de la voie ferrée, Montée Smellie)
1 Paruline hybride de type « Brewster » (de 1ère génération! Je n’ai pas vu celle de 2e génération rapportée par d’autres observateurs, Montée Biggar).

Tohis à flancs roux et Bruants des champs (en particulier sur la Montée Biggar).

Aussi, 3 Parulines à ailes dorées (dont 1 femelle avec transport de matériel de nidif.) et 1 Bruant sauterelle (déjà arrivée!) et un impressionant total de 51 Goglus des prés.

Hinchinbrooke: 1 Maubèche des champs (sur le Ch. Boydl Settlement, juste avant la jonction avec la Montée Rockburn)
1 Viréo à gorge jaune (sur le Ch. Gowan, 100m à l’ouest du petit pont, Hinchinbrooke).

3 Parulines des pins (différents endroits dont le sud de la Montée Massey, Hinchinbrooke).

1 COULICOU À BEC JAUNE (un adulte chanteur trouvé lors d'une vérification d'un ancien site de Paruline azurée, sur une terre privée accessible à partir du Chemin Gowan, à Hinchinbrooke. SVP noté qu'une autorisation du propriétaire est requise pour accéder au site. Par contre, on pouvait entendre le Coulicou à partir du Chemin Gowan, du côté sud de celui-ci, à 0,7 km à partir de l'intersection avec la route 202.

Huntingdon: 1 Hirondelle à ailes hérissées (en aval du pont de Huntingdon sur la Châteauguay, pas vu à cet endroit depuis des lustres). - Don-Jean Léandri

Black-throated green, black and white, Tennessee, Magnolia, American redatart, Blackburnian, Nashville, Black-throated blue, yellow, Canada, Wilson's, Northern waterthrush, Ovenbird, Blackpoll. Belted kingfisher, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Killdeer, Northern Flicker, Downy and Hairy Woodpecker,  Brown Creeper both Nuthatches, Least Flycatcher, Ruffed Grouse, Pine Siskins
Parulines 17 espèces dans le boisé de l'Ancienne-Lorette - à flancs marron, à collier, à croupion jaune, à gorge noire, noir et blanc, obscure, à tête cendrée, flamboyante, à gorge orangée, à joues grises, bleue, jaune, du Canada, à calotte noire, des ruisseaux, couronnée, rayée. Matin pêcheur d'Amérique, Cardinal à poitrine rose un Pluvier Kildir, Pics flamboyant, mineur, chevelu,  Grimpereau brun les 2 Sitelles, Moucherolle tchébec, Gélinotte huppée, Tarins des pins - Bruno Tremblay (et Jean-Michel, Dominique)
