Sightings for Sunday May 1st

St Bruno de Montarville, 530 Du Domaine - A visiting Pine Warbler (Paruline des pins) seen several times at our bird feeder yesterday and all last week. See picture. Also, a Merlin (Faucon émerillon) has been in the area a lot - seen yesterday when disturbed by crows in the woods next to the house. - Mike Fleming

Chateauguay, Ile Saint-Bernard: - refuge faunique Marguerite d'Youville:Yellow Warbler (heard only), Yellow-rumped Warbler (abundant, more than thirty), Palm Warbler (one observed), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (one at a feeder), House Wren (one)


At the second feeder (at the entrance of the grande digue), Dark-eyed Junco could stil be seen with White-throated Sparrows. Finally, I saw a Tufted Titmouse carrying materials to build a nest.

Paruline jaune (entendue seulement), Paruline à croupion jaune(abondante, plus d’une trentaine), Paruline à couronne rousse (une seule observée), Cardinal à poitrine rose (un seul à une mangeoire), Troglodyte familier (un seul)


À la deuxième mangeoire(à l’entrée de la grande digue), on pouvait encore observer des Junco ardoisé accompagnés de Bruant à gorge blanche. Finalement, j’ai observé une Mésange bicolore transportant des matériaux pour confectionner un nid. - Régis Fortin
