Sightings for Wednesday November 30th

Montréal, Mount Royal Cemetery: Townsend's Solitaire found by Eve-Lyne Samson yesterday. I (like several other birders) went over there to see if the solitaire was still around and was lucky enough to find it and watch it for about half an hour (and take a few lousy pictures--the light was terrible!). It seems to be hanging out in the area in and around the Allan family compound, behind a row of tall spruces located near the center of the cemetery; there are quite a few fruit trees in the vicinity and it's feeding on the berries. - Zofia Laubitz

Le Solitaire de Townsend photo était toujours présent ce midi au cimetière Mont-Royal, dans le même secteur où Evelyne Samson l'a découvert hier. Il chantait constamment, mais sans ouvrir le bec, un vrai ventriloque! En compagnie d'Evelyne et Stéphane Guimond, j'ai eu le plaisir de l'observer de très près alors qu'il était dans un bosquet à la hauteur des yeux, à gauche du petit groupement de grands conifères se situant près du centre du cimetière - Eve Bélisle
