Sightings for Sunday January 7th

Montreal, Ile Sainte-Hélène: 25 species seen
near pont de la Concorde bridge, and in some conifers between the Biosphere and the swimming pool Black-throated Gray Warbler (Paruline grise)
other species of note were Greater scaup (Fuligules milouinans), Bufflehead (Petit garrot), Common goldeneye (Garrot à œil d’or), 2 Northern flickers (Pics flamboyants), Brown creepers (Grimpereaux bruns), 4 Golden-crowned kinglets (Roitelets à couronne dorée), Ruby-crowned kinglet (Roitelet à couronne rubis), 5 American robins (Merles d’Amérique), 10 Cedar waxwings (Jaseurs d’Amérique), White-throated sparrow (Bruant à gorge blanche), Hermit thrush (Grive solitaire), Raven (Grand corbeau)


Chambly, Chambly basin: Greater white-fronted goose (Oie rieuse), Cackling gooose (Bernache de Hutchins), Red-breasted merganser (harle huppé)

Saint-Hubert airport: 2 Short-eared owl (Hibou des marais)

Lachenaie, rue des Becs-scie: 3 Short-eared owls (Hiboux des marais)

St-Janvier, rang Ste-Marie: Snowy Owl (Harfang des neiges), also seen in area Merlin (faucon émerillon), 2 Red-tailed hawks (buses à queue rousse)
