Westmount Summit, Tuesday May 8th

Jim Houghton Memorial Spring Warbler Walk at Westmount Summit between 7:00 and 9:00 am, Tuesday 8 May 2007:
A great fall-out of migrating birds last night gave 30 observers lots to look at this morning. 39 species included numerous warblers and sparrows, welcome spring birds. The weather was sunny and warm, with a wind starting about 8:30 am. The leaves are beginning to show themselves, but not completely out yet. There was much activity at ground level, and birds were rushing back and forth.
