Bird Protection Quebec "Field Trip" - Saturday, May 28

I have chosen the destination for next Saturday's "Spontaneous Spring Field

Trip". We will repeat a very successful driving outing from July 24th, 2010,

when we had one of our most productive "Summer Series" outings ever, with a

total of 66 species. We will meet up at the Hudson Inn exploring areas in

St-Lazare and points west out to the Quebec/Ontario border, then heading north,

wrapping up at the Carillon Dam at Pointe-Fortune, Quebec. Here are the

details.

Saturday, May 28, 2011

Here we will be again be looking for grassland birds, including Upland Sandpipers, Bobolinks, Meadowlarks, etc. We will continue north on La Grande Montee to Pointe Fortune and visit the Carillon Dam at Pointe-Fortune, where various gulls, ducks and shorebirds are often seen.
