Bird Protection Quebec - Ile Bizard Field Trip September 8th

Ile Bizard Field Trip 07/09/08 7:30 - 12:00 Partially cloudy clearing becoming windy. 12 observers.

Blue Heron 2, Green Heron 4, Turkey Vulture 3, Canada Goose 8, Wood Duck 6, Black Duck 1, Mallard 24, Blue-winged Teal 2, Osprey 2, Sharp-shinned Hawk 1, Red-shouldered Hawk 1, Merlin 2, Virginia Rail 1, Common Moorhen 8, Semipalmated Plover 1, Lesser Yellowlegs 7, Unidentified Peeps 4, Ring-billed Gull 50, Herring Gull 1, Rock Pigeon 1, Mourning Dove 2, Ruby-throated Hummingbird 2, Belted Kingfisher 2, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1,Downy Woodpecker 1, Hairy Woodpecker 1, Northern Flicker 4, Pileated Woodpecker 1, Blue Jay 6, Am. Note: the Leat Bittern failed us today but the Merlin put up magnificent displays. Also, the Ahuntsic Club turrned up Brown Thrasher and Red-bellied Woodpecker! Greetings Felix
