Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague: This morning there was a male Eurasian wigeon in breeding plumage, on the Beauharnois canal, about 1.5 km upstream of the Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague bridge. The site is accessible on foot via the Hydro-Quebec road, which runs along the the pond at Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague. The bird was accompanying American wigeons, Gadwall and Mallards.
At Saint-Timothée marsh, I was able to locate a juvenile Least Bittern with a beautiful tuft of down on the head. Also, a female Redhead with five chicks.
À l'étang de Saint-Timothée, j'ai pu repérer un Petit Blongios juvénile avec une belle touffe de duvet sur la tête. Aussi, une femelle de Fuligule à tête rouge avec 5 poussins. - Pierre Bannon
