St. Lazare: We saw the Great Gray Owl (Chouette lapone) today at about 4:30 PM in the woods just south of the Centre Sportif on Montee St. Lazare. It was not visible from the road, but was easy to see with binoculars by walking across the field. The owl was attended by roughly a half dozen well behaved bird photographers. - Mike and Doris Bristol
