Sightings for Saturday October 3rd

St-Lazare: The Long-billed dowitchers (Bécassin à long bec) I reported at St-Lazare sand pits were still present this morning to around 08.00 but not later, better views were had, all were Long-billed. Also the Hudsonian Godwit (Barge Hudsonienne) was still present to 09.00 - Mark Dennis

St-Timothée, marais de Saint-Timothée (marsh), 4 American coots, 27 Great egrets, 5 Black-crowned night-heron, 2 Great blue herons, 4 Double-crested cormorants, 18 Tree swallows, 1 Belted kingfisher. Peregrine falcon and a Merlin defending it's territory
au Parc régional de Beauharnois-Salaberry situé sur le Boulevard Cadieux: 18h00 à 18h15 : 4 Foulques d'Amérique, 18h25 à 18h59 : 27 Grandes Aigrettes, 5 Bihoreaux gris, 2 Grand Hérons, 4 Cormorans à aigrette, 18 Hirondelles bicolores, 1 Martin-pêcheur. Faucon pèlerin aux prises avec un Faucon émerillon voulant défendre son territoire! - Patrick Laniel
