Sightings for Monday April 28

Westmount: During a mid-morning walk at Summit Woods the following were seen:

6 or 7 Hermit Thrush (Grive solitaire), 10 - 12 Brown Creeper (Grimpereau brun), 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (Pic maculé) ( a male in very bright breeding plumage), 1 Downy Woodpecker (Pic mineur), 6 Dark-eyed Juncos (Junco ardoisé), 1 White crowned sparrow (Bruant à couronne blanche), 2 Eastern phoebe (Moucherolle phébi) building a nest in the new wooden structure with the map of Summit Woods on it.  The nest is just about finished.  One of the phoebes has a very dark, nearly black head. - Mike and Doris Bristo

Vaudreuil-Dorion: This morning at 10:30 a Snowy Owl was perched in a small wooded area at the end of rue Chicoine near the intersection of autotoute 20 and 30
