Les Coteaux this morning. There is a nice jetty there where you can park and scan the upper reaches of Lac St-Francois opposite Hungry Bay. Between 8-10:30 I saw: Common Loon 48 (Plongeon huard) (probably a lot more, many were moving east); Black Scoter (Macreuse à bec jaune), two on the lake then a flight at 9:41 of around 250 heading east. White-winged Scoter (Macreuse brune) 7; Long-tailed Duck Harelde kakawi 8; Bonaparte's Gull  (Mouette de Bonaparte) 30; Red-necked Grebe (Grèbe jougris) 2 & Horned Grebe (Grèbe esclavon), 2. Plus all the expected stuff like both Scaup (Fuligule), Common Goldeneye (Garrot à oeil d'or) etc.
To find the Les Coteaux lake watch point, going west from Montreal exit highway 20 at junction 12, go south a short way, straight on at the lights on Comte and the jetty is in front of you. You can drive and park near the bollards at the end. - Mark Dennis
