I went birding around the Lakeshore of Laval-Ouest. Highlights include: 8+ Hudsonian Godwits (Barge hudsonienne), a lone Redhead (fuligule  à tête rouge) and Black Scoter in with Lesser Scaup (macreuse noire avec le petit fuligule) all seen from the end of 55 Avenue and Rue Riviera. We looked for the Eurasian Widgeon but missed it. As we continued birding heading west along Rivera we encountered the Godwits again at the sand beach. Also seen were: Herring Gull, Green-winged Teal, Wood Duck, Greater Black-backed Gull, Northern Shoveler, American Black Duck and a Belted Kingfisher (Goéland argenté, Sarcelle d'hiver, canard branchu, Grand Goéland marin, Canard souchet, canard noir et un Martin-pêcheur)  - Alex Stone
