Sightings for Saturday April 16th

Pincourt - Yesterday late afternoon I came home and replaced the water in my backyard bird bath. Within minutes I was swarmed by a flock of 150 plus Bohemian Waxwings (Jaseur boréal). They would come to the feeder in packs of 10 -20 birds continuously, this went on for most of the afternoon and the bird bath had to be constantly refilled. The birds did not pay any attention to me being within feet of the bird bath. Some landed as close as 2 feet to me and some almost hit me with their wings as they would fly by. I've never experienced anything like this before. Here is a link to some more photos and video's I took during the event. - Mathias Mutzl
