Sightings for Sunday November 22nd

Danville, Étang Burbank: Again this morning more than 70,ooo Snow geese, many Hooded mergansers, Common mergansers and Mallards etc. - Gilles Lacroix - Greater white-fronted goose, Ross's goose, 2 Cackling geese, 2 Bufflehead and a Pied-billed grebe- Stephane Deshaies
encore ce matin, plus de 70 000 oies des neiges qui se reposaient sur l'Étang Burbank de Danville. Took a few extra minutes to do some scouting for next week's field trip this morning and had a nice view of an immature Northern Goshawk near Maple Corner. He flew to a nearby tree, I think to check my dog out, and I had a good long look at him. Other species of interest: Brown Creeper, Pileated Woodpecker (they have been very active and vocal the last few weeks), American Robin - Betsy McFarlane - A Black-backed Woodpecker was reported in the arboretum this afternoon blue trail adjacent to the golf course - Richard Gregson
