Bird Protection Quebec's Field Trip Report for Saturday March 7th

Laval, Bois Papineau

Today: 6 birders got 14 species....A calm . cloudy morning... plus 4 degrees

Bird of the day: numerous Pine Siskins

No owls....hardly any at all , this winter.... very little activity in the woods, aside from the feeders.
Rock pigeon 2, Mourning Dove 13, Downy Woodpecker 4, Pileated Woodpecker 1 male, American Crow 12, Black-Capped Chickadee 15, Whiet-breasted Nuthatch 6, Northern Cardinal 4, American Tree Sparrow 4, Pine Grosbeak 12, House Finch 6, Common Redpoll 8, Pine Siskin 30, American Goldfinch 50
