Sightings for Tuesday December 2nd


Chambly: Purple Sandpiper was present at the end of the federal wharf near the lock, at the Bassin de Chambly

Mirabel Chemin St-Dominique.. 3...possibly 4 Snowy owls! These were way, way out in the open fields...one on the ground... ... 2 more flying ( or maybe the same bird )... and one more high up in a tree But all not photographable... but they're around !... actually, the one in the tree was the closest... and on my second drive-by...I took some shots , from possibly 200 metres away !With the gloomy weather and snow flurries..... the shot won't be the greatest, when processed. A flock of 300 ++ Snow Buntings on Ste-Marie and about 50 on St-Dominique. along St-Dominique and Ste-Marie roads...about 15 Horned Larks at each site. 2 Rough-legged hawks in flight...plus one Red-tail hawk ,
Rang St-Domique: 3..ou possiblement 4 Harfangs des neiges! Toutes loin, loin, dans les champs... juste au commencement du St- Dominique (premier kilometre ).. apres le petit ruisseau 1 a terre...... 1 (ou 2 ) en vol...1 dans un arbre .... mieux avec un telescope... trop loin pour photos ! Apart de ca...... 300 ++ Bruants des neiges sur Ch. Ste-Marie et quelques douzaines sur St-Dominique... Alouettes hausse-col........ 15 en groupe sur chaque rang. 2 Buses pattues et une à Queue rousse. - Chuck Kling

La Baie (Saguenay) rang Saint-Joseph: Northern hawk owl
Chouette épervière
était postée sur un poteau surveillant les champs. - Vicky Rangers et Kenny Piché

Gatineau, take rue Campeau and turn left onto rue Hurtubise: Northern hawk owl
Chouette épervière prendre la rue Campeau, pour ensuite tourner à gauche sur Hurtibise. - Colette Blanchette
