It was a gorgeous fall day in the Arbo, with nearly clear skies and colours just past peak. About 4C to start out with, and warming up into the high single digits.

Thanks to Richard Gregson and Gay Gruner for leading a second group,and to David Mulholland for bringing some spare binoculars for people who didn'thave any.

Total of 29 species, 31 birders. Birds of the day: Brown Creeper; White-winged Crossbills (8); Cedar Waxwings and 6 Eastern Bluebirds on the edge of the hayfield Other birds of note: Pine Siskin (numerous)
