2018 BPQ Summer Series Trip #6 Report - Sat. Aug. 11

9 birders participated in a driving trip starting out in St-Lazare, heading west through Ste-Marthe, St-Justin de Newton, across the Quebec/Ontario border and north to the Carillon Dam at Pointe-Fortune, QC. It was a beautiful sunny, warm day as we explored a variety of habitats. We were pleasantly surprised with a nice mix of shorebirds in an unlikely spot; a shallow pond of water in the midst of a buckwheat field on the Quebec/Ontario border near the town of St-Eugene, ON. We finished the day with an impressive species count of 64. Here is our list for the day. We haven't broken it down into specific areas that this point, but we're working on it, for e-Bird purposes. Thanks to all who participated.
