Granby, centre d'interpretation de la nature du lac Boivin
As anticipated, we began the day with a -4 degree reading, however with very little wind and bright sunshine throughout most of the morning, and a gradually increasing temperature, it made for a very pleasant outing.
Highlights of the day including 2 Tufted Titmouse; one feeding regularly at the interpretation centre's feeders and the second one seen not far from the base of the observation tower. We also had spectacular, close-up looks at several colourful male and female Wood Ducks swimming almost at arms-length from the edge of the boardwalk along Lac Boivin. This was one of 8 species of ducks spotted today.
