Sightings for Tuesday January 6th

Ste-Martine, below the dam: Black Scoter (Macreuse noire) (m) - T. Long

Sainte-Catherine: I ran into Monique Groulx behind the locks looking for the Barrow’s goldeneye (m) (Garrot d`ìslande). She found it a couple of minutes after I arrived. Making it easier for me to get a look at, as there were 1000’s of ducks out past the ice along the river. Also seen Common goldeneye (garrots à oeil d'or), Common mergansers (Grand harles), Mallards (Canards colvert), Black ducks (Canards noir)
Récréo parc, at the entrance to the park beside the pool: 2 Red-breasted mergansers (Harles huppé), 14 Canada geese (Bernache du Canada), American Robin (Merle d’Amérique), Black-capped chickadees (Mésanges à tête noire)T.Long

Laval, 39e avenue (Fabreville) at feeders: 2 Carolina wrens
Troglodyte de Caroline sont toujours présents sur ma mangeoire. Deux individus observés en même temps - Alain Meyer
A group of more than 20 Pine Siskins (Tarin des pins) at my feeders in Eastern Laval - Mike Beaupre

Verdun, Ile des Soeurs: Red-bellied woodpecker at the end of rue De Gaspé and at the feeders Tufted titmouse. In the woods Downy and Hairy woodpeckers, Brown creeper. At another group of feeders American tree sparrow and Song sparrow, Pine siskin, House finch, Goldfinch, Cardinal and Common redpolls
Magnifique Pic à ventre roux au bout de la rue De Gaspé et aux mangeoires, nous avons pû admirer la Mésange bicolore. Dans le boisé, il y avait quelques Pic mineur, chevelu et Grimpereau brun. Autre groupe de mangeoires, se nourrissaient Bruant hudsonien et chanteur, Tarin des pins, Roselin familier, Chardonneret et Cardinal, 3 Sizerin flammé - Lucette d'Amours
