Oka, Oka park: On the beach
Sanderlings, Least & Semipalmated sandpiper (bécasseau sanderling, minuscule, semi-palmé), Lesser yellowlegs (petit chevalier), Wilson’s snipe (bécassine de Wilson), Greater yellowlegs (grand chevalier), Great egret (grande aigrette). Also seen
Marsh wren (troglodyte des marais), many
Brown creepers (grimpereau brun), Warblers – Magnolia, Yellow-rumped, Blackburnian (paruline à tête cendrée, croupion jaune, gorge orangée), Caspian tern (sterne caspienne). A
merlin (faucon émerillon) landed in the top of a dead tree at the same level as a
Pileated woodpecker (grand pic). When the Pileated left the Merlin followed, but not for long. -
